Please note that a hitch is not included as standard equipment on the 2.8c Wagon and 2.8 Pickup models, and is instead an optional feature.
The amphibious industrial trailer is a highly functional and durable piece of equipment.
The trailer cover can be removed when you are hauling over-sized items on land.
The back tailgate has dual functionality, allowing it to either fold completely down with a step to facilitate crew access, or to open flat for transportation of larger items, with stability ensured by heavy duty chains.
The payload is 2200 lbs (1000 kg).
There are six robust tie downs to secure your loads.
The trailer is equipped with a pintle hitch. A pintle hitch is a type of tow hitch that uses a tow ring and pin arrangement instead of the traditional ball-and-socket design. It is commonly used to attach trailers to trucks, particularly for heavy-duty applications such as construction equipment or military vehicles.
The pintle hitch provides greater stability and stress distribution than the ball-and-socket design, as well as easier installation and removal.
Additionally, there are tail lights located at the rear of the trailer to ensure road safety.
The RufDiamond Highway Hauler for Fat Trucks is an aluminum trailer weighing less than 2000 pounds, combining lightweight design with robustness.
The trailer includes a self-centering guide rack for accurate and secure positioning of your Fat Truck®. The guide rack doubles as a safety stand should tire pressure be lost in your Fat Truck during transport. It is important to note that the guide rack can be removed, allowing for alternative use of the trailer when not carrying the Fat Truck®.
The trailer has built-in amber lighting along the front and sides of the trailer and red lighting used in the tail lights. In addition, reflective decals have been applied on the sides of the trailer.
The trailer's platform is designed to provide a strong grip, even in freezing temperatures that can cause ice and it is equipped with mud and snow guards to prevent debris from accumulating on your trailer deck during travel.
The RufDiamond Highway Hauler for Fat Trucks also features safety step-ups which allow the crew to safely load and secure cargo. Also notice the d-ring anchor points strategically located to ensure the proper and safe tying down of cargo.
There is a large storage box located near the front of the trailer that is lockable and designed to hold straps and additional items.

Loch Lomond Equipment Sales offers custom modifications to trailers so you can get exactly what you need for your application.
As an example, in the photo below, Damon is preparing to weld a tongue-jack on a custom trailer.
A tongue jack is a device used for raising and lowering the trailer tongue of a trailer. It typically consists of a jackscrew, handle, and base plate mounted on a frame. The jackscrew is used to raise and lower the trailer tongue onto a hitch ball or other mount. The handle allows manual operation of the jackscrew, while the base plate provides stability to the frame while in use.
